HeartTeam of the heart surgery
Cardiac surgery is an integral part of HerzKlinik Hirslanden and all indications for surgery are discussed by the team (cardiologists and cardiac surgeons). The entire spectrum of classic heart surgery is offered (elective, emergencies), with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. Most operations are performed in one of the modern hybrid operating theaters. This makes it possible to combine the latest surgical procedures with catheter-based interventions in order to offer patients the best possible therapy.
Our competencies in heart surgery
Aortocoronary bypass surgery (ACBP) in most cases without the use of a heart-lung machine) and whenever possible with arterial grafts.
Minimally invasive bypass surgery (ACBP): without opening the chest with or without the use of a robotic system (DaVinci) and, depending on the situation, as a hybrid procedure in combination with simultaneous coronary stent implantation.
Minimally invasive aortic valve replacement surgery: without opening the chest using the most modern aortic valve prostheses.
Minimally invasive mitral and tricuspid valve reconstruction or replacement without opening the chest.
Aortic aneurysm surgery, classic and hybrid procedure (replacement and stent graft)
Minimally invasive atrial septal occlusion surgery without opening the chest.
